History

Chittendens started life as part of Garlicks Chemists in Chesham High street, over fifty years ago. The proprietor, Mr Garlick, sold the business to the Chittenden family, who ran the local electrical contracting business. The Chittendens, together with the Timms family, developed the business to include a service department, and an extensive television rental business. The television rental package offers a low cost, hassle free, 24 month rental contract, with an option to upgrade to the latest models every two years.

Michael Franklin (Chemists) Limited, who currently own and manage Garlicks Chemists, in the high street and at Watermeadow surgery, acquired the business in 2000.
